First, use a username that is unique to you when you do this assignment.

Number One Son is about a Chinese American student who must make a critical decision about his education after his father dies.

1. What does "critical" decision mean to you?

2. Think and write about a time you had to make a critical decision in your life. Answer the four W's about your decision.

3. How did it eventually affect your life overall?

For example, when I was in high school, my parents wanted to send me to Italy to visit relatives, by myself. I did not want to go, but I did. I am glad I did, because that was when I found out I had a great ability to learn and communicate in another language besides English. This affected my whole college and career decisions, and I think it hasn't been bad at all!
